Located on the southern slope of the Acropolis of Athens, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus (also called Herodeion or Herodion) is a Roman stone theater that dates back to 161 AD (although it was renovated in 1950).
Today, the Herodion is a prime location for the high arts, with frequent ballets and operas performed here.
