Largely unchanged since it was built back in 450 BC, the Temple of Hephaestus is a stunning site to visit.
Located in the Ancient Agora of Athens, the temple was originally dedicated to Hephaestus, the Greek god of smithing. Today, it’s a fantastic historical example of a Doric peripteral temple (i.e. surrounded by a portico with columns) and remains largely intact.
