Inspired by the modern cuisine at Michelin-starred Tickets in Barcelona, Mini Bar serves innovative and playful small plates in a casual atmosphere. The prolific chef, Jose Alvillez, is one of Lisbon's greatest success stories. Despite being only 35 he has, according to the NYTimes, "probably done more than anyone to nudge his country’s cooking into the 21st century, spurred by the food revolution across the border in Spain."
Order dishes a la carte or go for the recommended "Epic" tasting menu which is a steal at 48.50 euros. You'll receive a succession of twelve small plates, such as tempura-fried avocado spears with cilantro and kimchi or cured mackerel slices under a smoke-filled glass dome.
