The Best Way To Eat And Drink Your Way Through Mexico City

What the Journy team has been hyped about this week

Get your passports out and your Google Maps ready—it’s time for our greatest discoveries of the week!

Don’t even think about leaving London without having a proper high tea experience. One of our favorites is The Palm Court at The Principal London. Depending on when you visit, you’ll sip tea and munch on finger sandwiches either in their outdoor terrace or their indoor ‘winter garden,’ complete with a stone fireplace.

While we’re on the topic of lovely spaces in London, let’s not forget about Hide. This bar and restaurant by Hedonism Wines and Ollie Dabbous is set over three floors and offers views of Green Park. We also caught a glimpse of their pineapple ice cream—served in real pineapples—on Instagram and it looks delish.

When in Mexico City, we suggest touring the city by bike. Bikes and Munchies offers tours combining sightseeing with foodie culture. Their “Tianguis, Tamales & Tostadas” tour description has us drooling, with 5-6 tasting snacks and 4 drinks included in the price.

There’s a new restaurant in San Francisco called Birdsong and it looks simply divine. Serving ‘Heritage Cuisine’ by Chef Chris Bleidorn—formerly of Atelier Crenn, Benu, and Saison—the menu blends the flavors of the Pacific Northwest with flavors Bleidorn grew up with on the east coast.
